Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for an experienced Social Worker within the Children in Care team to work full time, based in Dudley.
The salary for this permanent Registered Fostering Manger job is up to £41,496 per annum.
Main duties:
- Contribute to the delivery of an effective children’s social care service as part of a social work team, improving outcomes for children and young people.
- To hold and manage a varied caseload reflecting the function of the team in accordance with relevant policies, procedures and legislation.
- To identify and assess levels of risk and need and to deliver protective or supportive services for children at risk, in need and/or looked after.
- Ensure that reports are up to date, of a high quality and submitted according to appropriate timescales.
- To attend a range of meetings including child protection case conference meetings and court hearings to represent the local authority.
- Contribute through team meetings and organisational events to the development of the service.
- Ensure that expenditure on cases is properly authorised and recorded, in accordance with departmental procedures.
- Undertake direct work with children, young people and their families in line with agreed care plans.
- All work is child focussed, effective and in line with legislation and practice.
Requirements of The Social Worker Job.
- Degree or equivalent in Social Work.
- Current Social Work England Registration.
- Experience within Children’s Services.
- Full Drivers Licence and have use of a vehicle.
