Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in an Adults Learning Disabilites Team based in Bognor Regis. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Social Work practice in Adult Services and be registered with the HCPC.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £30 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.
About the role:
- The role is to provide care management to young people in transition age - so between 16 - 25 (but we usually start working with them nearer 18). Mainly young people who are already in receipt of social care but some referrals are from schools
What we are looking for:
- someone who is confident in applying the care act and undertaking strength based assessment - working with young people and their families to find ways of achieving outcomes from within their own strengths and resources first.
- Someone familiar and confident with working under the Mental Capacity Act
- Someone competent in Adult Safeguarding
- Someone who will ensure only eligible outcomes are met through funded support , is able to manage expectations and be supportive in exploring solutions to meet outcomes.
- Someone with good IT skills (we use mosaic as our recording and data base)
- A car driver with vehicle who is willing to travel out of county - not a massive about of out of county work but I do need someone to do some reviews in Somerset jointly with our SENAT colleagues and depending on the outcome of that there may or may not need to be further visits
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in Social Work
- Current HCPC registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Adult Services
