We promote a hybrid model of working for our social care staff, with a flexible approach involving working from our town hall campus/hubs. In this role, you are expected to work from our town hall campus during your teams duty week, for team meetings and other development days – and at the request of your manager. We are encouraging increased face to face working for teams as we know how important this is for Social Workers and all meetings with children and family take place face to face. The postholder will complete the initial assessments and child protection enquires, and the initial intervention plan (eg CIN meeting, ICPC, escalation to pre proceedings or issuing care proceedings if threshold is met).

Requirements of the Advanced Practitioner:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- A fast paced and demanding role that will require Social Workers with sound knowledge and experience
- Strong assessment experience
- Able to interview and start a role promptly would be helpful
- Significant experience (e.g. post ASYE) of working as a Social Worker with children and families, including assessments and statutory work
