Sanctuary Social Care has locum vacancy for a Senior Social Worker to work full-time based in South Gloucester, within the Transition Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Senior Social Worker role is £38 per hour (Assignment rate) and is a 3-month contract.
Duties:
- Support the team manager with the overall management of the service.
- To manage a group of "Personal Advisors", and have oversight of their combined caseloads.
- Delivering regular high-quality supervision, that maintains high expectations alongside delivering high levels of support.
- Support "PAs" with managing the more complex high risk and need young people that we work with.
- Chairing strategy and risk management meetings and having robust oversight of risk assessment and safety plans.
- Be responsible for other aspects of service delivery and development.
- Oversee of the delivery of our Drop-in Service to Care Leavers, or being the key link to other services areas and with key partners such as our mentoring service, and the administration of the Junior ISA scheme for young people
Requirements of the Senior Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's services
- Must be a car driver with a full, clean licence
