Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a School Social Worker to work full time based in Haringey.

The salary for this permanent School Social Worker job is up to £47,857 per annum.

Main duties:

  • To provide high quality social work services in schools according to each school’s formal agreement.
  • To work with students referred to the School Social Worker on a variety of issues, providing a non-judgemental, caring, and confidential environment for them to work through their challenges and difficulties.To liaise and work with parents and families to ensure that the young person’s needs are being met and family issues addressed.
  • To ensure that priority is given the Safeguarding Policy and procedures in all work undertaken.
  • To help identify factors affecting an individual students wellbeing and behaviour in school and at home and to facilitate appropriate interventions with other professional and agencies where necessary.
  • To maintain and develop up to date relevant skills and knowledge of current legislation, policy and social work practice.
  • To ensure that all legislation and local council polices regarding Health and Safety are adhered to.
  • These activities may be varied from time to time to meet the changing needs of the service.

Requirements of this School Social Worker job:

  • A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Continual professional development.
  • Social Work England registered.
