Sanctuary Personnel, a leading recruitment company to the private and public sector has a permanent vacancy for a Safeguarding Advisor to work within a Learning Disability and Autism Team based in Surrey.
The pay rate for this permanent Safeguarding Advisor role is £44,838-50,711 per annum depending on experience (pro-rata).
Main duties:
- Leading on the development of Safeguarding practice with social care practitioners and with partner agencies, giving expert advice and guidance to both Surrey County Council staff, and partner agencies in relation to safeguarding adults at risk
- Supporting operational services and delivery of safeguarding adults training
- Contributing to the development and implementation of Safeguarding Strategy ensuring all practice is fully in line with the multi-purpose training programme offered by SSAB
- Working collaboratively with key agencies and acting as link for the service/sector managing concerns through the safeguarding process
- Providing advice and guidance to managers, social care practitioners in a defined locality so as to maintain the highest standards of professional service, including Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (Integrated Teams)
- Attendance on behalf of the service at relevant multi-agency
- Chairing, coordinating and leading relevant professional meetings and section 42 enquiries
Requirements of the Safeguarding Advisor:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant experience working within a similar role
