Job Title: Registered Nurse - Hyperbaric & Wound Care

Position Overview: As a Registered Nurse specializing in Hyperbaric & Wound Care, you will play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive wound care and hyperbaric treatment to patients of all ages, both inpatient and outpatient. This position requires advanced clinical knowledge and skills to provide holistic care in alignment with established policies and procedures. Additionally, you will be responsible for emergency wound and hyperbaric care, documentation, multidisciplinary collaboration, administrative tasks, staff orientation, and community liaison activities.

Pay: £59826.00 per Annum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide holistic wound care and hyperbaric treatment to inpatients and outpatients, adhering to established protocols and best practices.
  • Respond to emergency wound and hyperbaric care needs as per accepted protocols.
  • Document wound assessments accurately using photography and electronic medical records (EMR) in accordance with physician orders and current standards.
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive wound and hyperbaric care.
  • Maintain administrative records, compile statistics, and submit reports as required.
  • Serve as a resource person for new staff, facilitating orientation to unit policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Liaise with community agencies to provide health education, counseling, and information on disease prevention, health promotion, and maintenance.

Qualifications & Registration Required:

  • Registered Nurse with a Bachelor's Degree or Diploma from an accredited institution.
  • Current registration with the Bermuda Nursing & Midwifery Council.
  • Minimum of 2 years post-graduate nursing experience, preferably in Hyperbaric/Wound Care.
  • Ability to work in a hyperbaric environment.
  • Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) provider.
  • Competency in intravenous access preferred.

Schedule:

  • Full-time position: 35 hours per week.
  • Availability for day, evening, and night shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
