Sanctuary Health are currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to fill a full-time role based in Leatherhead. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Mental Health Nursing and be registered with the NMC.
The pay rate for this Registered Mental Health Nurse job is £19.90 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract. Working 12 hour shifts, 7am to 8pm and 7pm to 8 am. The shifts are 3 days shifts/3 nights per week. Must be willing to work night and day shifts.
Job Summary:
- To lead the team on the ward to ensure nursing interventions and actions are delivered in a timely manner on a daily basis to a high standard.
Duties:
- To lead the team on the ward (where the designated nurse in charge) to ensure nursing interventions and actions are delivered in a timely manner on a daily basis to a high standard.
- Taking and giving handover
- Daily allocation of resources
- Start of day reporting
- Monitoring tasks for quality and completion
- Escalation of issues to the appropriate person
- Assisting to ensure that newly admitted patients have all assessments completed within the prescribed timeframe (fulfilling admission checklist)
- Ensure the safe administration of medication in line with SABP policies.
- Ensure enhanced observation levels are reviewed daily and the review is recorded in the patient's notes giving
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent within Mental Health Nursing (RMN trained)
- NMC registration and a valid live pin
- Experience of working within a mental health hospital setting
