Sanctuary Social Care has a permanent vacancy for an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to work full-time within Fostering based in Bromsgrove/Milton Keynes. The ideal candidates will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice and be registered with the Social Work England.

The salary for this permanent Registered Manager job is £48,000 to £58,000 per annum (negotiable depending on experience).

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

  • To undertake the role of the Ofsted Registered Manager and ensure compliance in full, with legislation, regulation, standards and guidance.
  • To adhere to and promote the highest standards of fostering practice.
  • Ensure that the welfare and safety of children and young people is managed effectively by staff and foster carers.
  • Manage the Foster Service to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.
  • To work with the Quality Assurance Team to monitor all aspect of fostering practice and support the quest for continuous improvement.
  • To participate in all aspects of personnel management, including staff induction, management, recruitment, training, disciplinary management, performance measurement and appraisal.

Requirements of the Registered Manager:

  • Recognized and relevant professional qualification e.g. DipSW, CQSW, CSS.
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Management qualification or tangible management experience
  • Full UK Driving license and unrestricted access to own vehicle (£3,000 car allowance plus 18p per mile on top for miles traveled outside of that to their chosen office).
  • Broad depth of experience of working with Looked After children and Foster Carers.
  • Good understanding of appropriate and relevant legislation and regulations
  • Strong team leadership skills to create a 'can do' environment of high achievement with a focus on problem-solving and creative solutions
  • Ability to make timely and effective decisions and lead by example, understanding when to consult with or defer to others
  • Able to build and facilitate relationships, both internally and external to the organization
  • Prepared to work flexible hours as required to carry out the role of Registered Manager successfully
