Sanctuary Social Care has a permanent vacancy for an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to work full-time within a Fostering Service based in Glasgow. The ideal candidates will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice and be registered with the Social Work England.

The salary for this permanent Registered Manager job is £55,000 to £60,000 per annum (negotiable depending on experience).

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Hold responsibility for the actions of the Agency on behalf of the Board of Directors within the relevant FCA area and ensure that the area/country is fully compliant with legislative requirements and company Operational Standards and procedures.
  • Serve as Registered Manager of the Agency within the terms of the Care Standards Act 2000 and related regulations and maintain positive liaison with the Regulatory Authority ensuring that any conditions of registration and requirements arising from inspection are appropriately met/acted upon.
  • Carry out the functions of Agency Decision Maker for the Fostering Panel and co-ordinate the panel's workload.
  • Ensure placements are made in accordance with FCA Operational Standards

Requirements of the Registered Manager:

  • Recognized and relevant professional qualification e.g. DipSW, CQSW, CSS.
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Hold an advanced professional qualification relating to management at least at Level 4 (before Jan 2011) after this time the relevant diploma will be Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children and Young People's Services.
  • 5 years' experience in direct work with children/young people in the care system - at least TWO years' experience relevant to fostering within the last FIVE years.
  • 3 years' experience of managing multi-disciplinary teams including change management and performance management - at least ONE years' experience supervising and managing profession.
