The salary for this permanent Recovery Worker job is £22,390 - £27.062 per annum.

Main Duties:

  • Perform risk/need assessments and develop risk management/care plans following organizational policies and procedures.
  • Conduct periodic risk/need reviews based on service user needs.
  • Devise, monitor, review, and update recovery care plans tailored to individual service user profiles and requirements.
  • Provide comprehensive care packages, including psychosocial and psychological interventions, alongside peers and volunteers.
  • Collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team, actively participating in team meetings.
  • Manage cases using a recovery-focused approach, utilising one-on-one sessions where appropriate.
  • Ensure effective communication across all levels of the service.
  • Conduct screenings for drug and alcohol use.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date service user records in accordance with organisational policies.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with other health and social care providers as needed.
  • Report concerns related to service users' children and safeguarding issues promptly.
  • Maintain detailed case notes in line with policy, documenting all interactions with service users and compiling necessary statistical information.
  • Uphold the security and confidentiality of information, handling it discreetly and securely within designated systems.
  • Promptly report any incidents, complaints, or grievances.
  • Provide recommendations for safeguarding referrals concerning adults or children.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures for lone working, taking necessary precautions for personal safety.
  • Actively promote the service in a positive manner.

Requirements of the Recovery Worker:

  • Attainment of Level 3 certification in Tackling Substance Misuse, Health and Social Care, or a commensurate qualification.
  • GCSE English & Maths certification at Level 2 or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in the Substance Misuse field is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Familiarity with various substances and their effects.
  • Understanding of the principles underlying the recovery movement.
  • Awareness of the multifaceted challenges confronted by individuals struggling with substance misuse, spanning social care, welfare benefits, health, and accommodation.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic approaches applicable to working with service users.
  • Demonstrated appreciation for confidentiality and sensitivity when handling public and service user information.
  • Experience collaborating within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Understanding of Safeguarding Adults and Children principles and their practical application.
