Sanctuary Health has a permanent vacancy for an experienced and dedicated X-Ray/DXA Radiographer to work full-time in Ealing and Golders Green, London. The ideal candidates will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of radiography and be registered with the HCPC.
The pay rate for this permanent X-Ray DXA Radiographer job is £26,000 to £28,500 per annum and this role is an initial 6-month contract with a view to be extended to 12-months.
Overall Job Purpose:
To undertake modality specific imaging procedures efficiently and effectively for both the public and private sectors; adhering to best practice of radiographic technique. Maintaining a high level of professionalism and technical standard of work, complying with relevant Codes of Practice.
What you will do:
- Carry out modality specific imaging procedures to best practice standards of radiographic technique (MHRA Guidance 2015, IR(ME)R 2017, Code of Clinical Practice)
- Provide a great experience for patients attending for X-Ray/DXA scanning, supporting them through the process from referral to results
- Run quality assurance checks on equipment and action as appropriate
- Respect and work within patient's customs, values and spiritual beliefs, making sure their views are sought and taken into account
- Perform triage functions of referrals, as required
- Support patient bookings and make sure Patient Information Systems are maintained with accurate and up-to-date information
- Understand and work in line with the Health and Safety Policy
- Demonstrate safe, effective practice in line with policies and procedures
- Maintain professional competencies and CPD
- Take ownership and fulfil the requirements of any required statutory and mandatory training
- Complete competency assessments
- Assist placement students and other colleagues in the achievement of their learning outcomes
- Share knowledge and clinical expertise
- Deliver on our vision to make healthcare better
Requirements of the Radiographer:
- Degree or equivalent within radiography
- Recent UK post qualifying experience working as a Radiographer
- Must be HCPC registered
