Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Quality Assurance Manager to work full time based in Uxbridge, for Regional Fostering Service.

The salary for this permanent Quality Assurance Manager job is up to £40,000 per annum.

Main duties:

  • Manage the social work assessors, both independent Social Workers and Internal Social Workers delivering the assessments to deadline, through phone, email, fact-to-face and web forum.
  • Decision making regarding each assessment and effective communication with families.
  • To quality assure each assessment for social work content as well as all statutory checks and references.
  • Manage the timing of assessments in line with the panel availability to ensure efficiency, liaising effectively with the Registered Manager and Recruitment and Panel Team, and Panel Chair as required.
  • Oversee delivery of each family file coming into the organisation.
  • Provide reports/statistics to the Senior Management Team on families in assessment, as required.
  • Chair regular meetings within the team regarding families in assessment.
  • Chair regular meeting with the team  regarding post panel feedback and handover.
  • Liaise with panel to gather feedback on assessment to improve quality.
  • Produce clear and concise assessor guidelines.
  • To recruit suitable qualified assessors.
  • Provide an assessor training programme, either individually or in groups to provide clarity over RFS ethos.
  • Provide guidance to the organisation on developments in assessments within the UK and any relevant changes in legislation.
  • Liaison with a range of staff, including Panel Advisor, Panel Chair, recruitment and assessment team, external assessors, medical officer, referrals managers, trainers and others.
  • Responsible for ensuring policies and procedures are up to date based on current legislation and guidance.
  • Responsible for ensuring that Annual Foster Carers Review Reports including Reviews Following Concerns are quality assured and ready to be processed for recommendation to the ADM or Panel.
  • Responsible for the timetabling of AFCR’S ensuring meetings are held within timescale and that reports are filled within timescale.
  • Responsible for ensuring foster carers approval documents are filled appropriately and the agency’s policies and procedures are followed.

Requirements of this Quality Assurance Manager job:

  • A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Continual professional development.
  • Social Work England registered.
