Pay Rates:
- Weekdays £34.00 p/h
- Nights/Saturdays £39.50 p/h
- Sundays/Bank Holidays £45.00 p/h
Duties:
- Ensure a high standard of care to patients
- Contribute to the continual improvement of the healthcare service
- Assessment, planning implementation and evaluation of healthcare for patients
- Plan, deliver and evaluate programmes of care to address patients present and changing health and well-being needs
- Plan discharge and follow up care for patients leaving prison and returning to the community
- Provide feedback to line manager and internal and external agencies
- Responsible for the development of own knowledge and clinical practice
- Support effective team working in the nursing team, the wider Healthcare Team and prison workforce
Requirements of the Prison Nurses:
- Must be registered on the NMC and must have a relevant qualification in nursing
- Prison clearance and experience is essential
