Sanctuary Personnel, a leading recruitment company within the private and public sector has a locum role for a Band 6 Podiatrist to work full-time based in Camden.
The pay rate for this locum Podiatrist job is £25.00 - £28.00 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Duties:
- Working across Camden Community - clinics, care in patients or residential homes, community hospital wards
- Be responsible for the assessment diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of Podiatric care to a variety of patients with a wide range of clinical needs
- be responsible for the assessment of new patients with subsequent production of individual care packages and provision of the appropriate footcare education advice
- Perform diabetic assessment review clinics
- Provide a comprehensive risk assessment to include, sensory assessment, vascular including use of Doppler equipment and biomechanical assessment
- Identify risk factors and categorise patients into appropriate risk banding
- Refer to specialist services as required and be responsible for the production of temporary Orthotic/appliances and casting devices necessary for pressure relief
- Be responsible for the day to day planning of personal workloads for the completion of home visits and visits to Residential Homes for the Elderly and Rehabilitation Centres
Requirements of the Podiatrist:
- Degree or equivalent within Podiatry
- Current BSc Podiatry/HCPC registration
- Experience as a podiatrist within the NHS
- Car driver
