We are currently seeking a Physiologist to join our growing team on a fixed-term contract until the end of June 2024.

As a Physiologist, you will play a vital role in providing a compassionate and professional clinical service that significantly contributes to the quality of care our clients receive. You will work Monday - Friday between 08:30 am and 18:00 pm, with shifts confirmed with advance notice. 

Joining a team of dedicated medical professionals, driven by a shared passion to enhance workplace health and wellbeing, you'll collaborate closely with experienced colleagues to deliver and maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction.

Main Duties:

  • Conducting health screening procedures in line with company protocols, including measurements such as height, weight, blood pressure, and urinalysis.
  • Performing fitness for work medicals.
  • Conducting health surveillance screening, including audiometry and lung function testing.
  • Engaging in health promotion activities.
  • Ensuring accurate recording of all medical information.
  • Maintaining serviceable, clean, and fit-for-purpose equipment.
  • Providing support to the Occupational Health team for smooth and effective departmental operations.
  • Undertaking additional tasks as required.
  • Contributing as a valued and motivated member of the team, fostering a positive working environment.

Essential Skills:

  • Demonstrated self-motivation and a proactive approach to work.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and within a team.
  • IT literacy, proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Teams.
  • Strong prioritisation and time management skills.
  • Flexibility and capability to work to strict deadlines.
  • Understanding the importance of treating all patients with respect, dignity, and privacy.
  • Sound educational background with good numeracy and written English skills.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Willingness to work occasional late or night shifts.

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge and experience of working in Occupational Health.
  • While there is no recognised professional qualification for this role, suitable backgrounds include:
  1. Health Care Assistant
  2. Fitness Instructor
  3. Military Medic
  4. Offshore Medic
