We are currently seeking dedicated Occupational Health Technicians to join our expanding peripatetic team. The successful candidate will undertake travel throughout the UK, operating a Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) to deliver health surveillance services at client sites. The role requires the ability to park the unit at or near the home address overnight and entails regular travel with occasional overnight stays.

This full-time position involves a 37.5-hour workweek, typically between 08:30 am and 17:00 pm, with frequent travel throughout the UK. This presents an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and reliable individual to enhance their skills and experience within a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct health surveillance screening, encompassing audiometry, lung function testing, drug and alcohol testing, and general baseline measurements.
  • Ensure accurate recording of all medical information in occupational health records and its transfer to relevant clinical staff.
  • Maintain serviceable, clean, and fit-for-purpose equipment.
  • Undertake additional tasks as requested, including health promotion activities.
  • Provide support to the occupational health team, assisting with non-clinical tasks such as filing and tidying.

Essential Skills:

  • Solid educational background with proficiency in numeracy and written English.
  • Ability to work autonomously with support from line management and team members.
  • Proactive approach to work and strong IT skills.
  • Effective time management, self-motivation, and the ability to work flexibly and meet deadlines.
  • Understanding of patient confidentiality, treating all patients with respect, dignity, and privacy.
  • Strong self-awareness, respect for others, and a customer service-focused approach.
  • Team player with a positive working environment mindset.
