Sanctuary Personnel is currently seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join the Social and Community Services team in Oxford. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing personalised support and care to individuals and families in need.

About the Role:

  • Providing personalised information, advice, safeguarding, assessment, support planning, equipment, adaptations, and review to individuals/families and their carers.
  • Adhering to the requirements of the Care Act 2014, relevant legislation, HCPC codes of practice, and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Taking ownership of and prioritising a caseload, including making telephone enquiries, conducting face-to-face visits, and facilitating clinics.
  • Assessing eligibility for services, identifying needs, and providing tailored advice and information, while collaborating with other agencies as needed.
  • Promoting independence and well-being, while ensuring the safety and effective use of provided equipment and resources.
  • Working within safeguarding policies and procedures, including undertaking section 42 investigations and participating in strategy meetings and case discussions.
  • Engaging with partner agencies and local communities to promote inclusivity and maximise the use of available resources.

Key Requirements:

  • Recognised Occupational Therapy Qualification and registration with HCPC.
  • Experience in needs-led assessments, working with vulnerable populations, and multi-disciplinary team settings.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Knowledge of legislation and statutory guidance relevant to Adult Social Care, and IT competency.
