Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Occupational Therapist to work as part of the multi-disciplinary team within the Recovery & Rehabilitation Team, Specialist Adult Mental Health Service based in Guernsey. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.
The salary for this permanent Occupational Therapist job is £37,763 - £47,094 per annum.
Summary:
- To work as part of the multi-disciplinary team within the Recovery & Rehabilitation service, Adult Mental Health
- To manage a defined caseload, using evidence based / client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions
- Provide cover in areas of the Adult Mental service as required
- To provide occupational therapy support to OT staff within the Adult Mental Health services
- To provide leadership and support for junior staff and students
- To participate in service development and evaluation of OT within HSSD as appropriate
- To contribute the specialist skills of an OT to the multi-disciplinary team (MDT)
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
- Recent NHS experience either pre or post qualification
- Experience of using OT outcome measures
- Specialist knowledge of assessment and treatment approaches in mental health
- Clinical experience of Occupational Therapy of patients/clients with complex care needs, including individuals with undifferentiated and undiagnosed conditions.
