About the Team

We offer a competitive starting salary equivalent to that of a Band 6 OT in a healthcare setting. For newly qualified OTs, we provide a supportive preceptorship programme. We also offer flexible working arrangements to support your work-life balance.

Our team provides a wide range of training courses to enhance your skills and knowledge, ensuring you can deliver a service you can be proud of. We offer both informal daily supervision and regular formal supervision sessions, along with peer support and practical tools to manage your workload effectively.

About the Role

You will join a supportive, skilled, and innovative team that values integrity, reliability, and the ability to apply robust clinical reasoning. If you are a pragmatic, motivated, and creative Occupational Therapist eager to make a positive impact, this could be the ideal environment for you to thrive in.

Working alongside clients with diverse and sometimes complex needs, you will employ a strength-based approach. Clients may include the elderly, individuals with learning disabilities, physical or sensory impairments, or those experiencing mental ill-health. This varied role will enhance your skills and equip you to deliver holistic occupational therapy within a social care context. You will conduct assessments such as moving and handling risk assessments, aiming to empower our clients to lead meaningful lives in the community.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with team members, as well as external organisations and agencies, to provide an integrated service supporting vulnerable adults and their carers in the community. Visiting clients in their homes and other settings such as residential care and nursing homes is a key aspect of this community-based role.

Shortlisting Criteria

To be considered for shortlisting, your application must demonstrate:

  • Experience in a social care or community-focused multi-disciplinary setting providing long-term care, support, and advice
  • Ability to conduct person-centred and proportionate OT assessments, including moving and handling risk assessments
  • In-depth knowledge of medical conditions and their impact on individuals, carers, and families
  • Continued professional development with current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), adhering to HCPC standards for conduct, performance, and ethics
