Job Title: Occupational Hygienist
Location: London
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum (depending on BOHS modules and experience)
Shift Pattern: Will include nationwide travel, particularly around London and the South East, with occasional overnight stays where required

Sanctuary Personnel are seeking a proactive and dedicated Occupational Hygienist to join our team. As an Occupational Hygienist, you will play a pivotal role in promoting principles to both colleagues and customers. The postholder will work on some large scale and iconic infrastructure projects, with the ability to grow within a very well-established team and company.

Your focus will be on strategic occupational hygiene and health by design, particularly in larger projects, ensuring consideration for the 4 W's: worker, workplace, wellbeing, and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Workplace Monitoring:

  • Conduct routine workplace monitoring for physical, biological, and chemical hazards under instruction/guidance from the project lead.

2. Reporting:

  • Produce professional and timely reports for customers in line with team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

3. Training and Toolbox Talks:

  • Deliver toolbox talks and additional training sessions to clients.
  • Develop toolbox training sessions and associated presenter notes for knowledge transfer within the team.

4. Knowledge Sharing:

  • Stay informed about topic specialists and sector champions with specialisations relevant to the role.
  • Actively spend time focusing on topic specialist/sector champion responsibilities.
  • Attend webinars, briefings, and carry out research to stay updated and share

Requirements:

  • Possess the relevant skills and experience to undertake monitoring and provide expert occupational hygiene advice
  • Science degree
  • Certificate or Diploma of Operational Competence in Occupational Hygiene (or willingness to study)
  • Experience in an occupational hygiene role
  • Evidence of ability to prioritise activities and work independently
  • Valid UK driver’s licence
