The salary for this permanent Integrated Midwife job is £36,501 - £49,449 per annum.

Duties:

  • Be responsible for the provision of autonomous, evidence-based, women centred midwifery care, whilst working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, other agencies, representatives and service users
  • Undertake this role within both the ward and community services and will be allocated to work both day and night shifts pattern within a rota period
  • Work as a member of the maternity team, delivering midwifery care throughout the pregnancy continuum in the maternity unit or community setting to women and babies
  • Be responsible for the coordination and delivery of maintenance of a high standard of evidence based practice for all families in the community caseload
  • Participate in the on-call rotas for the maternity unit

Requirements of the Integrated Midwife:

  • Registered Midwife
  • Communicate effectively with patients/clients and their significant others, taking into account their cultural background and cognitive functioning
  • NMC registration
  • Diploma in Midwifery Studies
  • Completed preceptorship programme
  • Experience of practicing midwifery in a full range of clinical settings
  • Evidence of contributing to midwifery practice or education and training
  • Experience in guideline and policy development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure
  • Presentation skills
  • Examination of the Newborn (NIPE) qualification
  • Experience of producing reports and presenting findings to the multi-disciplinary team
  • Computer literacy
  • Articulate and knowledgeable in current midwifery issues
  • Displays an understanding of the change management process
  • Knowledge of clinical governance and risk management
