Role Overview

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Physiotherapist specialising in musculoskeletal (MSK) disorders to join our team in Portsmouth. This part-time role involves 13 hours per week and offers an opportunity to contribute to the delivery of exceptional occupational health services at our esteemed client's site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct accurate clinical assessments, diagnoses, and treatments.
  • Classify MSK disorders according to work-relatedness.
  • Provide comprehensive reports to management regarding fitness for work and necessary role adjustments.
  • Lead onsite exercise classes for employees with MSK injuries.
  • Collaborate effectively with the occupational health team.
  • Perform DSE assessments and offer prophylactic advice.
  • Make recommendations to clients based on DSE assessment findings.
  • Identify workplace hazards and assess their risk in causing or aggravating MSK health issues.
  • Conduct ergonomic risk assessments in collaboration with Safety Health & Environment advisors.
  • Communicate necessary work practice or environment changes to the occupational health team.
  • Facilitate effective rehabilitation for staff with MSK disorders.
  • Maintain thorough assessment and treatment records.
  • Collect statistical information for report generation and contribute to health promotion events.

Skills Required

  • Proficiency in comprehensive assessments and ergonomic evaluations.
  • Experience in conducting face-to-face and workstation assessments.
  • Competence in DSE assessments and report writing.
  • Knowledge of MSK conditions/injuries and treatment.
  • Ability to conduct risk assessments and deliver workshops.
  • Strong IT skills and commitment to patient confidentiality.
  • Understanding of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Law.
  • Capacity to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Physiotherapy.
  • Master's Degree.
  • HCPC registration.
