Sanctuary Personnel are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Radiographer to join our client's bustling Imaging Department. This presents an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Radiographer proficient in CT & MRI procedures.

The successful candidate will undertake a variety of diagnostic radiographic tasks, primarily in CT/MRI, across their Hospital. Responsibilities also include active involvement in Department Governance, encompassing Risk Management, Health and Safety, as well as Research and Audit initiatives.

Responsibilities as a CT/MRI Radiographer:

  • Evaluate the clinical necessity of Radiography referrals and operate in compliance with IRMER (2000).
  • Offer guidance to imaging referrers and respond to patient queries regarding referrals.
  • Capture diagnostic images and effectively position patients of diverse presentations.
  • Operate advanced software on specialised Radiological equipment.
  • Assist in organising, coordinating, and prioritising workflow within the department.
  • Uphold high standards of patient care and professional conduct throughout the Imaging department.
  • Engage in a Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programme.
  • Review images and collaborate with Radiologists to consider supplementary imaging procedures.
  • Familiarise oneself with technical applications available on Imaging equipment.
  • Perform intravenous cannulation and administer contrast agents upon completion of training and/or hospital competency.
  • Collaborate within a team to ensure efficient communication and care delivery.
  • Liaise with hospital departments/wards and external sources for seamless patient care.
  • Adapt and respond swiftly to changes in service, patient needs, or departmental requirements.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and ensure service continuity in case of equipment failure.
  • Demonstrate adept problem-solving skills, including staff allocation during absences to maintain service standards.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

  • Diagnostic Diploma from the College of Radiographers or equivalent BSc Hons.
  • Evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
  • Certificate of Competence in CT/MRI.
  • Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in CT/MRI.
  • Current HPC registration.
  • Radiation Protection Certificate.
  • Demonstrated decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and accurately.
  • Excellent presentation abilities.
  • Self-motivated with the capacity to motivate others.
