Sanctuary Personnel, a leading recruitment company to the private and public sector has a permanent vacancy for a band 2 Lab Support Worker to work based in Southampton.
The pay rate for this locum Lab Support Worker job is £13.07 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an ongoing contract.
Main Duties:
- To receive, sort and prepare biological samples for analysis.
- To enter information on tests required and patient/sample details onto the pathology computer system.
- To load/unload samples onto/from automated analytical systems.
- To prepare worklists, locate samples from the worklists and have them ready for analysis as required.
- To deal with incoming telephone enquiries relating to patient results. To be the initial contact point for patients and visitors to the department.
- To prepare samples appropriately for postage to referral laboratories
- To work flexible hours as determined by the requirements of the service.
- To provide assistance with the department’s data processing, audits and quality management.
Requirements of the Lab Support Worker:
- At least two years of UK experience working as a Support Worker.
