Sanctuary Executive is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Head of Corporate Parenting Service to fill a full-time role within a Children's Services based in Hounslow.
The pay rate for this locum Head of Corporate Parenting Service job is £450 - £500 per day (Assignment rate) and is an initial 6-month contract.
Duties:
- Provide strategic and professional leadership and management of the Corporate Parenting services to looked after children and care leavers
- Contribute to the strategic planning and development of the department
- Implement strategies, procedures and practice to meet the needs of vulnerable children and young people, deliver improved outcomes and comply with statutory and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
- Five years post qualifying experience in a statutory children's services setting
- Two years post qualifying management experience in a children's services setting
- Registered social worker with Social Work England
- DBS
- Significant and demonstrable knowledge and understanding of legislation and guidance, practice and procedures in relation to functional responsibility
- Significant and demonstrable knowledge and understanding of best practice in relation to functional responsibility
- Comprehensive knowledge of effective management techniques, including financial and project management
- A successful record of achievement in motivating and leading staff
- Substantial and impressive record of achievement at a management level in a statutory Children's Services setting
- Evidence of successfully developing and delivering strategies to meet business objectives and achieve planned results
- Evidence of robust quality assurance and performance monitoring mechanisms driving service improvement
