Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Family Proceedings Case Manager to work full time based in Guernsey.

The salary for this permanent Family Proceedings Case Manager job is up to £63,481per annum.

Main duties:

  • Supporting social workers and managers in effective, high quality case preparation.
  • To meet with social workers and managers and offer guidance and mentoring to improve the quality of reports for court and the CYCT and to ensure that they are fir for purpose.
  • To provide direct support social workers in their preparation of evidence and plan to the courts.
  • To work with teams across the service to ensure they understand what progression is required for each case and work with all parties involved to chase progress against directions.
  • To provide advice and support in the instruction of expert witnesses in family proceedings to include establishing and maintaining a directory of experts; advising on letters of instruction; liaising with partners as to their instruction; establishing systems to ensure that experts are only instructed when necessary and are instructed at the most appropriate point and to ensure ant expenditure is necessary and proportionate.
  • Managing information relating to family proceedings to include case tracking to ensure effective identification of delays and/or issuing proceedings.
  • To develop performance information on family proceedings and report this to colleagues and key partners as a toll to drive performance improvement.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve service delivery relating to family proceedings within the Service and leading on developments, with a particular emphasis on reducing delay and improving case preparation.
  • To attend relevant meetings with partners in the family justice system to represent the Service and to share learning to inform service development and training needs.
  • Develop and present training alongside legal colleagues in relation to completed court documents and presenting evidence to court.
  • To undertake case audits on individual cases and thematic audits if requested.

Requirements of this Family Proceedings Case Manager Job.

  • Degree or equivalent in Social Work.
  • Current Social Work England Registration.
  • Experience within Children’s Services.
  • Full Drivers Licence and have use of a vehicle.
