Main duties:

  • Facilitate group work (psycho-social intervention) sessions on a weekly basis, implementing a Trauma Informed Care approach.
  • Manage a caseload of service users requiring substance misuse support in conjunction with clinical colleagues.
  • Contribute to the development of, and support implementation of individual Recovery plans for service users.
  • Work independently on the Units and as part of the new arrival reception process including assessments and 1:1 intervention.
  • Confidently train and educate service users on the use of a naloxone kit in conjunction with clinical colleagues.
  • Work within the wider MDT to develop and deliver a trauma informed therapeutic activities and programmes.
  • Build effective working relationships with internal departments as well as community teams.
  • Contribute to Recovery Service Development.
  • Provide and receive complex and sensitive information to relevant partners and escalate situations clearly, in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that service user records are accurate and up to date, following all information governance guidelines.
  • Support the release process for any service user on the recovery caseload.
  • Play a key role in health promotion and education to reduce health risk behaviours in line with National Strategy.
  • Contribute to strategies and projects that drive NHFT wellbeing agenda.
  • Attend regular caseload reviews and line management 1:1 supervisions and appraisals

Requirements for the role of CTC Cleared Recovery Worker:

  • Recent experience in Substance Misuse, Substance Abuse, Addiction, Drug and Alcohol, Needle Exchange, or Recovery.
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications
  • Must be CTC Cleared
