Pay Rate: £25 - £35 per hour (assignment rate)

Contract: Locum, 3-Months

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours a week,  hybrid working. Monday - Friday from 9am - 5pm with the expectation that you're in the office 3 days per week.

Main Duties of the Contract Manager:

  • Raising CVN’s (Change Variation Notices) & ARF (Authority Request for Funds) for the schools to the SPV for works to be undertaken.
  • Approving CVN’s once approved by the school.
  • Requisition to be raised for CVN’s/ARF’s (GAA (Greater Ashton Academy)/SL (Samuel Laycock School) & Hattersley Project (x 4 schools cluster), we don’t currently do this for Amber).
  • Check all invoices received against paperwork for each job to ensure correct.
  • Receipting of invoices for payment in a timely manner.
  • To deliver quality services in accordance with the contract and targeted benefits through professional contract, project and stakeholder management of the Council’s Education PFI contracts.
  • To monitor and manage compliance and performance on the Council’s Education PFI contracts with private sector partners including developing and implementing plans, systems and processes to support continuous improvement and innovation.
  • To ensure that Education PFI service providers fully understand the Council’s requirements and schools’ needs so they can produce viable and innovative annual service plans in relation to facilities management and community use.
  • To liaise with schools on all matters relating to Education PFI contracts including establishing schools’ needs, reporting any issues relating to contract performance, lifecycle maintenance plans, developing cost effective proposals for variations to contracts, performance penalties, damages and dispute resolution.

Requirements of the Contract Manager:

  • Experience: 1+ year of experience within a similar role.
  • Compliance: Proof of ability to work and live in the UK. Current DBS and references covering the last 3 years.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
