Sanctuary Personnel are currently seeking an Assistant Practitioner to join our client's dynamic team dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to service users and their families. As an Assistant Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting the assessment, planning, and implementation of personalised nursing care or therapy for our service users under the guidance of registered professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Clinical Team, reporting directly to the Clinical Educator, to deliver high standards of care to service users.
  • Provide support and guidance to junior team members and Trainee Assistant Practitioners.
  • Work alongside volunteers within the team, ensuring smooth coordination and support.
  • Maintain crucial relationships with service users and their families, fostering trust and open communication.

Complexity and Accountability:

  • Undertake a diverse range of clinical tasks within defined competencies and protocols, independently and under the direction of Registered Nurses.
  • No budgetary or managerial responsibilities associated with the role.
  • Exercise responsibility in the use of property and resources.
  • Practice in alignment with quality standards set by the Head of Clinical Services and Rehabilitation and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications Required:

  • Level 5 Foundation Degree in Assistant Practitioner (Healthcare).

Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Prior experience in healthcare, preferably within specialist services such as Neurology or Palliative care.
  • Proficient in working within clinical settings and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation impacting current practice.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with both clients and colleagues.
  • Capacity to respond empathetically to individuals in distress.
