Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an Approved Mental Health Practitioner (Mental Health Social Worker) to fill a full-time role based in Westminster, London. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Adults services and be registered with Social Work England.

The pay rate for this Approved Mental Health Practitioner role is £35 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.

Duties:

  • Offer practical advice to vulnerable adults and their carers on a range of matters including housing, health and welfare rights, ensuring that specialist advice is made available if necessary.
  • Actively involve the person, carer and relevant others in the care plan, assessing capacity, harnessing innovation and using new technology to increase people's independence, choice and control over the support received.
  • Take a holistic approach to deliver co-produced outcomes, proactively preventing and reducing delay in the need for care that delivers Intervention and prevention practice to maximise service quality.
  • Present complex/sensitive information in an understandable way, to a range of audiences.
  • Undertake specific risk management responsibilities in respect of service user or organisational risk.
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promote the welfare of children, young people and adults, raising concerns as appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Social Work qualification
  • AMHP qualifications
  • Current Social Work England Registration
  • Significant senior level frontline experience within Adult services.
  • Experience of working with people who have a severe and enduring mental illness and understanding its implications for service users and their carers.
