Sanctuary Criminal Justice is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Alcohol Specialist Nurse to work full-time based in Haringey. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Substance Misuse Nursing and be registered with the NMC.
The salary for this permanent Alcohol Specialist Nurse role is £25,267 - £30,000 per annum (negotiable depending on experience).
Main Duties:
- You will provide health care and substance misuse assessment, preparation of service users and carers for community detoxification and day to day care of those undertaking alcohol detox and on-going contribution to recovery planning.
- Support hospital liaison and training to a range of health care professionals in the Borough.
Requirements of the Alcohol Specialist Nurse:
- Degree or equivalent in nursing
- Current NMC registration
- At least two years working as a substance misuse nurse
- You should have of experience providing direct nursing expertise, health care assessments, support/advice to people with alcohol problems, and be able to work professionally and effectively with a wide range of service users and health care professionals
- Group work training and experience are desirable, but we can provide training to the right candidate.
- You will need to have a desire to be part of an exciting, new evolving treatment and recovery system, and a real commitment to working with substance misusers.
