Location: Hastings. A mix of hybrid working and office based working is required in this role.

Pay Rate: £35 per hour (assignment rate)

Duties:
- Hold a small and complex caseload of clients that may involve safeguarding, court work etc
- Supervise a small number of practitioner staff
- Support the Practice Manager by bringing your experience and knowledge to the team to raise standards and sharing models and social work theory to support staff and benefit the people we serve as part of our critical front line service
- Have opportunities to facilitate reflective practice sessions and sharing your learning within the service and more widely
- Be part of the decision making for safeguarding triage and supporting staff to set clear terms of reference for enquiries, you will be expected to participate in rota for safeguarding in your working week
Requirements of the Senior Practitioner:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant frontline experience within Adults Services
- Passionate about raising standards and person centre approach
- Thrive on challenge
- Hold a Practice Educator qualification and be able to support Social Workers who are in their first year of social work practice and are part of their Assessed and Supported Year in Employment Programme
- Are able to motivate staff in challenging times and demonstrate a commitment to equal opportunities and anti-discriminatory practice
- Can lead the design and development of new service initiatives
- Can work with a range of people and organisations
- Have strong interpersonal and communications skills
