Adult Social Care services
If your service is overrun with assessments and reviews and you need a practice-led managed team that will hit the ground running for a fixed fee, Skylakes can help. We can quickly mobilise (a team (or teams) and manage the following types of assessment and reviews:
Care Act Assessments and Reviews (including, as required, Carers Assessments, Mental Capacity Assessments and Continuing Healthcare Assessments)
S42 Safeguarding Enquiries
Hospital Discharge
Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) – including Best Interest Assessments and Mental Health Assessments
Taking a strengths-based and person centred approach to adult social work, our experienced teams:
Work to the Care Act eligibility criteria and local provision guidelines
Make sure that every person’s voice and wishes are properly heard and responded to
Consider new models of care in their work, including assistive technologies (where appropriate)
Make sure people’s desired outcomes are recognised and that they have support plans to assist them in achieving those outcomes
In our work, we provide a return on investment against additional capacity costs (wherever possible) by:
Freeing up overprovision within historic, high-cost packages of care
Identifying third sector support and community resources to support people’s individual strengths in meeting their identified outcomes

Educational Psychology (EP) services
If your service is struggling with an increased number of statutory assessments or you need to reallocate statutory advice work while your team focuses on its Core Offer, we can help. Our Skylakes team will:
Mobilise a team of experienced EPs to provide psychological advice for EHC needs assessments within statutory timeframes and to a high standard
Efficiently manage the allocation of advices to the EPs within the team
Quality assure all EP work to provide consistent, high-quality written advice
Allocate a Principal Educational Psychologist (if required) to run monthly supervisions and case discussions with your team
Targeted Health and Social Care Projects
