The salary for this permanent Urology Theatre Scrub Practitioner job is £41,886.45per annum.

Hours: 37.5 hours a week – Early and Late shifts with On-Call Participation

Main Duties:

  • Prepare and maintain a sterile field during urological surgical procedures, demonstrating meticulous attention to aseptic techniques.
  • Circulate within the operating room to provide support to the surgical team, anticipating and fulfilling their needs.
  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in a wide range of urological procedures, showcasing a comprehensive understanding of surgical techniques and instrumentation.
  • Stay current with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in urological surgery
  • Work collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and other members of the surgical team to optimise patient outcomes.
  • Maintain effective communication to enhance teamwork and contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Advocate for the well-being and safety of patients throughout the perioperative process, ensuring a patient-cantered approach.
  • Provide compassionate care and support to patients and their families during the perioperative journey.

Requirements of the Urology Theatre Scrub Practitioner:

  • Registered Nurse or ODP with a valid license
  • Extensive experience as in urology
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in urological procedures.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
