Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Team manager to work full-time within a Permanency and Placements Team based in Exeter. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Team manager job is £41 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Summary:
- As postholder of this role you will have a responsibility for the delivery of a high-quality Placements Service. Your practice will be supported as you join a strong management group dedicated to promoting positive change.
- It's important to ensure that the right actions are taken at the right time, in the best interests of children and their families.
- Oversee the work undertaken by the team and seek every opportunity to build on the success of the service.
- Allocate, audit and monitor work, as well as supervise and monitor the progress and professional development of each member of your team.
- Be responsible for ensuring the identification of high quality and timely placements aiming to promote the welfare of the most vulnerable children and be responsible for overseeing the contractual and financial arrangements for all placements.
Requirements of the Team Manager:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's Services
- Must have strong management skills and understand this area of the business, providing clear management oversight, case supervision and quality assurance.
