Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Team Manager to fill a full-time role within a Looked After Children's Team based in Swindon. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Team Manager job is £41.01 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Summary:
- The team has responsibility for about 160 children aged under 16 and is dedicated to ensuring that children looked after achieve permanency, feel safe and thrive.
- The team manager will have an understanding of the particular needs of children looked after, providing expert professional advice and support in relation to all case work and ensuring that the team is fully compliant with the law and local procedures.
Requirements of the Team Manager:
- A recognised and relevant professional social work qualification (Degree/Diploma in Social Work)
- Registered on Social Work England
- Management experience is essential
- Be able to demonstrate effective team management; delivering high quality, reflective supervision and effective management oversight.
- Need to be able to assure the quality, effectiveness and appropriateness of social work provided by the team; ensuring that all social work intervention is conducted in accordance with legislative requirements, SBC practice standards, all relevant policies and procedures and agreed performance targets.
- Will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills so that they can build strong working relationships with internal and external partners.
