Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Team Manager within the Family Support Services to work full time based in Guernsey.

The salary for this permanent Team Manager job is up to £74,269 per annum.

Main duties:

  • To have responsibility for the management and safe and effective delivery of services within the Family Support Services.
  • Ensure direction, alignment and commitment within their own practice, and that their team with the project objectives, in order to help children, young people and families aspire to do their best and achieve sustainable change.
  • Build and lead a team that is capable and confident in their ability to deliver outcome focused services. They will mange resources and lead new approaches to working practices that deliver improved outcomes and put the child young person, young adult, or family at the centre of practice.
  • To work flexible and responsive working hours in order to ensure high quality support to the team.
  • Encourage and support practitioners to gain the skills, knowledge attitudes and behaviours that will enable them to actively support each, young person, young adult and family to achieve their potential in line with the team brief.
  • Inform and improve practice by taking into account and acting on research and developments in relation to the ways in which the needs of children, young people and families are best met.
  • Work on a multi-agency basis with a range of professionals, from a wide range of backgrounds across the islands, in order to identify and address barriers to family success and to improve outcomes for those families.
  • Provide regular reports to the steering group on progress, make suggestions about solutions, and provide professional advice on the models and resources required to ensure the success of the team.
  • Lead and develop a team, which supports collaborative working across health, social care and education and other stakeholders in the statutory and voluntary sector.
  • Actively ensure service staff are aware of organisational objectives, policies and procedures and the implications of their practice.
  • Ensure operational, professional and management activities meet with and integrate with organisational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies and general duty of care.
  • Adhere to the relevant Registered Professional bodies Code of Professional Conduct.

Requirements of this Team Manager job:

  • A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Continual professional development.
  • Social Work England registered.
