Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Team Manager within the Children & Families Team to work full time based in Guernsey.

The salary for this permanent Team Manager job is up to £63,481 per annum.

Main duties:

  • Providing a Social Worker Service to all Looked After Children following a decision regarding permanence.
  • Ensuring that all statutory duties in respect of Looked After Children and Care Leavers are met in full.
  • Undertaking assessments of Looked After Children and Care Leavers and ensuring that Care Plans, Pathway Plans, review documents and other LAC material forms are completed.
  • Working with other agencies to ensure that health, educational and social care needs are properly addressed.
  • Ensuring that the standards of care for Looked After Children and Care Leavers are of the highest quality.
  • Undertaking Child Protection Investigations for Looked After Children in line with policy and procedures.
  • Providing a Social Work Service to children, young people and families in Alderney.
  • Providing a Social Work Service to units based within the Princess Elizabeth Hospital.
  • Holding Planning and Professionals meetings for LAC and Care Leavers.
  • Undertaking and overseeing Court Reports for the Adoption and the Child, Youth and Community Tribunal process in line with policy and procedures.

Requirements of this Team Manager job:

  • A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Continual professional development.
  • Social Work England registered.
  • Experience within Adult Social Work.
