Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in Redhill, in the UASC Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £35 to £42 per hour (Assignment rate).
Duties:
- Carrying out Age Assessments and attending court hearings for Judicial Reviews.
- Utilising a knowledge of immigration legislation and working with young people with no recourse to public funds.
- Undertaking direct work at the UK Border Agency Home Office on a regular basis and knowledge of the National Transfer Scheme and Pan London Rota.
- Supporting young people in their transition to becoming independent and moving to the Leaving Care Team at the age of 18 years.
- Preparing and supporting young people for appointments with housing, benefits office and floating support
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's Services
