Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time based in Newham in a NRPF Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £35 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Duties:
- To act as a member of a professional team providing social work services to children and their families, with the purpose of safeguarding and promoting their welfare.
- Discharge the authority's responsibilities under the Children Act 1989 & 2004 and other relevant legislation with a particular responsibility for children of families who have No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF).
- Ensure the local authority behaves lawfully in the provision of support to families, mindful of schedule 3 & s54 Nationality Asylum & Immigration Act 2002.
- The post holder may also be required to hold cases of other children in need, particularly those in need of protection and those in the care of the authority.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's Services
- Previous expereince
