Purpose of the Job:

As an Adults' Social Worker, you'll play a crucial role in promoting the well-being and independence of adults and their carers. You'll engage in meaningful conversations, conduct assessments, and develop support plans to empower individuals to live fulfilling lives within their communities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Utilise a strength-based approach to support adults with diverse care needs.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to facilitate multi-agency support and independence.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and best practices, including the Care Act 2014.
  • Participate in reflective practice and safeguarding procedures to provide holistic support.
  • Represent the council in court proceedings and decision-making forums.
  • Advocate for service users' views and needs in various settings.
  • Conduct eligibility assessments and engage in strengths-based resource identification.
  • Develop creative support plans to promote independence and meet Care Act 2014 requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records and engage in ongoing professional development.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications in social work and current registration with Social Work England.
  • Essential experience in social work, assessment, and support planning.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and strength-based practice.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and IT skills.
