Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency is currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to work based in Exeter, within the MASH Team.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker role is £40 per hour (Assignment rate) and is a 3-month contract.
An accommodation allowance of up to £150 per week will be available. This is paid on a reimbursement basis – VAT receipts must be provided to evidence expenditure. The candidate must be currently based at least 50 miles, one-way, from the proposed work base.
Shift Pattern:
- 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday.
- 2/3 days per week on the officer rota, other days at home.
Main Duties:
- Share information with other professionals to ensure early identification of potential significant harm, and trigger interventions to prevent further harm or to safeguard children’s welfare.
- Gather and review information from a range of agencies and use this to decide the most appropriate way to support a family and ensure the needs of children are met.
- Where appropriate, immediately trigger a response, the emphasis being on interventions to the child or young person and their family to prevent harm.
- Ensure that the agencies are sharing information and are able to respond to a child’s needs quickly and efficiently.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work.
- Current Social Work England registration.
- Recent post qualifying experience within frontline children's social work.
- Have access to own suitable transport, subject to reasonable adjustments that may need to be made in line with the Equality Act 2010.
