Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in Croydon, within the Looked After Children Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £32 - £35 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Duties of the Social Worker:
- Skills in prioritising key tasks while holding a complex caseload are essential.
- Understanding the needs of 'children looked after', with particular regard to 'permanence.''
- Undertaking continuous assessments of complex young children, including assessment of risk, using principles of child development.
- Developing individualised care plans which are informed by high-quality assessments
- Emotional literacy and a focus on direct work with vulnerable children are essential.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's Services
- Knowledge of how to promote key outcomes for young people is important
- The ability to be a key player in professional meetings and lead professional network would be a distinct advantage.
