Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in Swindon, within the Looked After Children Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £31 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
The team has responsibility for about 160 children aged under 16 and is dedicated to ensuring that children looked after achieve permanency, feel safe and thrive.
Duties:
- To case hold and ensure that their work is fully compliant with the law and local procedures.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
Degree or equivalent in social work
Current Social Work England registration
Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's Services
Must have an understanding of the particular needs of children looked after and that they are at the heart of their work
Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills so that they can build strong working relationships with internal and external partners
