Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in Wrexham in the Fostering Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Care Wales.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is negotiable and is an initial 3-month ongoing contract.
Duties:
- Supervising and supporting foster carers meet individual needs of children and young people placed in their care, with a focus on promoting individual outcomes and foster carers continuous professional development.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Care Wales registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's Services
- Fostering and Adoption experience
- Experience of court work and completing comprehensive assessments.
- Knowledge of all relevant children social care legislation, in particular fostering regulations (Wales) and safeguarding procedures.
- Must be a car driver.
