Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time within an Early Help Team in Merton. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £32 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Duties:
- To make decisions about requests for support for family wellbeing service to ensure that services provided are targeted to needs at the earliest opportunity to prevent problems escalating and reduce demand on more specialist services
- To liaise with professionals from a range of public and voluntary agencies and families to ensure the best decisions are made
- To work with management to ensure that decisions made are robust and take into consideration risk in line with the continuum of need. To evidence knowledge and understanding of the needs of children and families including child development and the value of early help and targeted support including children's centres, school pastoral provision, school nursing, health visiting, SEND services.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's Services
