All roles have a £2.4k market supplement (paid £200 p/m)

Salaries (per annum):

  • Newly Qualified: £31,099 - £32,909
  • Social Worker: £34,723 - £36,298
  • Senior Practitioner: £36,371 - £38,553

Job Purpose:

As a Social Worker in this role, you'll play a crucial role in fulfilling statutory obligations outlined in relevant legislation, focusing on assessing, supporting, and safeguarding vulnerable individuals. Your role will involve assisting individuals and families, promoting independence, and ensuring compliance with legal frameworks and best practices.

Responsibilities:

Operational Delivery:

  • Assist individuals and families with daily challenges
  • Conduct inquiries to protect vulnerable individuals
  • Collaborate with professionals and agencies within the Signs of Safety model
  • Advocate for service users' self-worth and rights
  • Facilitate Best Interest meetings and decisions
  • Develop care and protection plans based on assessments
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant regulations and practices
  • Foster relationships with other agencies and teams
  • Contribute to training and policy development
  • Attend supervision meetings with the line manager

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure support services meet assessed needs
  • Evaluate service user satisfaction and assess risks
  • Maintain accurate records

General Responsibilities:

Person Specification:

Essential:

  • Degree in social work or equivalent
  • Proficiency in relevant languages
  • Registration with Social Care Wales
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to assess and develop care plans
  • Understanding of relevant legislation
  • Experience in multi-agency working

Desirable:

  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Proficiency in remote work
