Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in Guernsey, within the Community Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Adults' Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £35 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Duties:
- To provide a social work service to adults living in the Bailiwick of Guernsey. To carry out assessment using the agreed standardised format. To participate in co-ordinating services for people wishing to remain within their own homes. To offer support to people who may be moving into care.
- To work in a flexible way, adapting the service to meet the changing needs of service users from a wide range of social and cultural backgrounds.
- To work in an identified social work team within the Integrated Adult Community Care Service.
- To form relationships with service users to formulate an accurate assessment of complex psychosocial needs of service users, their families and service providers and assess for services in line with local policy.
- To contribute towards a holistic assessment within the multi-professional specialist team, recognising that diversity, values and human rights may influence the decisions of people who use the service.
- To provide complex psychosocial support for service users with terminal illness/life threatening illnesses and their families, advocating for service users, carers, and families around complex emotional & practical needs.
- To provide specialist social work advice within the Adult Community Health & Social Care Team.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Adults' Services
