Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time within a Children's Access Team based in South Gloucester. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker role is £35 per hour (Assignment rate) and is a 3-month contract.
Duties:
- You will be office (home) based and will be triaging referrals coming into the team regarding children & young people with welfare concerns.
- Given the nature of this role, you will be well versed in dealing with professionals and parents daily by telephone.
- In this non-caseholding role, you will be applying threshold for Universal Service, Early Help and Social Care in a rapid and timely manner - if you are looking for a desk based role to practice your social work in a fast paced environment, this will be an ideal team for you.
- The post holder will be a problem solver, confident about making important decisions, underpinned by a genuine passion to work collaboratively with children, young people and families to meet their goals and aspirations
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's services
